Earth, Wind, And Fire Japan Millennium Concert ’94
Our company holds the worldwide rights to the video and audio of the legendary funk/soul band Earth, Wind & Fire’s Japan concert film “Earth, Wind & Fire Japan Millennium Concert ’94” and is distributing it globally.
Earth, Wind & Fire was formed in Chicago in 1969. Led by Maurice White, the group achieved worldwide success with a unique sound that fused funk, soul, disco, and jazz. Their signature song “September” (1978) reached No. 1 on the U.S. R&B chart, No. 8 on the U.S. singles chart, and No. 3 in the U.K., and is still loved around the world today as an “eternal party anthem” (Wikipedia).
The follow-up single “Boogie Wonderland” (1979), a collaboration with the female vocal group The Emotions, climbed high on the U.S. charts and earned Gold certification in the United States and Platinum in the U.K. Its dazzling disco sound and powerful choral arrangements cemented the band’s international reputation (Wikipedia). In addition, hits such as “Let’s Groove,” “Shining Star,” and “After the Love Has Gone” continue to reach new generations of listeners through films, commercials, and streaming services (Spotify).
The Japan Millennium Concert ’94, for which we hold the rights, is a rare live video and audio recording that captures these classic songs together with the energy of a Japanese audience. The massive horn section, grooving rhythm, and the crowd’s sing-alongs all come together on stage to convey the appeal of Earth, Wind & Fire in the most direct way possible. Through this work, we are committed to delivering their timeless masterpieces and the unique atmosphere of their Japan performance to fans all over the world.
